It’s that time of year when ghouls and goblins are prowling the streets. Nothing beats going the pumpkin patch with a nice cup of hot apple cider and picking out the perfect pumpkin or gourd for this year’s masterpiece. Have you been influenced by a tv show or movie this year? Do you want to go a little crazy with an intricate design, or do you want to make it classic? Here are some creations we came up with to get those pumpkin carving hands going.
- Keep It Basic:There’s nothing wrong with giving your pumpkin a traditional face of triangle eyes, nose, and teeth. You can always guarantee to give your pumpkin its personality.
- Keep It Basic:Take the traditional face to the next level by elongating that toothy grin. Adding a few more teeth and taking on the top layer of the pumpkin can add some depth and bring it to the next level.
- Add Some Characters:Here is the perfect time to showcase your favorite characters like everyone’s favorite Jack Skellington
- Add Some Characters:A Generic Skeleton just looking for a bone to pick on.
- Add Some Characters:The Cheshire Cat making mischief for everyone about him. You can X out the eyes and have a long toothed face.
- Add Some Characters:And our neighborhood hero Spiderman spinning his webs. As a cool effect get some fake spiders webs to place about the pumpkin and the porch to really show off your carving skills.
- Add Some Characters:Make those pumpkins whacky with spiral eyes, stary eyes, or carve out a spooky haunted house.
- Free AdvertisementAre you selling your home during this spooky season and want some free advertising? Carve it on a pumpkin so all of the trick or treating parents can take a look at the house! Other phrases or words can be carved out on the pumpkins to say whatever you want.
- Fun Kid Designs:For kid-friendly pumpkins get some pipe cleaners and googly eyes to stick on the outside.
- Get Painting:You don’t need to get out the knife on an excellent pumpkin look. Take it to the next level with painting on faces for Mr. & Mrs. sets.
- Get Painting:Paint the entire pumpkin for a whole new feel. Keep it white for a modern feel or get creative with blues, purples, reds, etc. It's a fun way for kids to get involved without worrying about sharp knives.
- Get Painting:Want another great kid-friendly pumpkin face? Paint on the face you want without the hassle of chopping off a tooth.
- Get Painting:Try something other than paint? Get some puff paint to add some depth. Let the kiddos add some fun vampire teeth or a goofy smile.
- Awesome Till The End:As the pumpkin ages, it can take on a whole new look too.
